phs invest in their employees and offer apprenticeships to existing employees to help them grow within their roles and themselves. We also take on new recruits as apprentices giving them the chance to gain both a nationally recognised qualification and work experience at the same time.
Supporting other businesses with our levy
As well as supporting our own employees, we annually transfer up to 25% of our apprentice levy fund to several businesses and charities to help them in training their own staff. This can be used by these businesses to pay for their apprenticeship training and assessments.
The transfer of funds is particularly helpful to small businesses who don’t contribute to the levy and therefore find it difficult to fund professional development programmes for their people.
One of the organisations we have supported with our levy is Fashion Enter, a UK-based not-for-profit social enterprise that is leading the way in ethical garment manufacturing.
