Innovative Matting Solutions - ECONYL and rPET
One of our standout products is our matting solution made from ECONYL, a regenerated nylon material derived from discarded fishing nets dredged from the ocean and other materials such as carpets. By repurposing these abandoned nets, we not only help clean our oceans but also create high-quality mats that keep floors clean and safe. Our mats are a testament to the power of innovation in solving environmental challenges, transforming ocean waste into valuable resources.
In addition to ECONYL, we also use recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) for our image/logo mats. rPET is made from recycled plastic bottles, ensuring that plastic waste is diverted from landfills and oceans. By incorporating rPET into our products, we contribute to reducing plastic pollution and promoting a circular economy where materials are continuously reused and recycled.
Less Flushing, More Discussing
At phs, we believe that small changes can make a big difference. Our Less Flushing, More Discussing campaign encourages people to dispose of their waste in bins instead of flushing it down the toilet. Flushing inappropriate items can lead to blockages, sewage overflows, and environmental damage. By advocating for responsible waste disposal, we help divert waste from landfills and prevent it from reaching our oceans.
Water Conservation with phs Besafe
Our commitment to sustainability extends to our laundering services through phs Besafe. We have implemented an innovative wash process that not only cleans workwear effectively but also reducing the amount of water used and use water recovery tanks. The water collected in the recovery tanks reuse the final rinse water from each cycle for the next prewash, saving over 100 litres of water in every wash, per machine. This results in a total annual water saving of 192,000 litres (192m3). By reducing water waste, we contribute to the preservation of this vital resource.
