phs have transferred 25% of their apprentice levy fund to Fashion-Enter, helping to support the development of the UK-based social enterprise.
Fashion-Enter is a not for profit enterprise that is leading the way in ethical garment manufacturing. They specialise in technical garment making skills and are England’s leading provider for Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship programmes.
As a payer of the apprentice levy, phs can choose to annually transfer up to 25% of their funds to other businesses. This can be used by these businesses to pay for their apprenticeship training and assessments.
This transfer of funds is particularly helpful to small businesses who don’t contribute to the levy and therefore find it difficult to fund professional development programmes for their people. The 25% levy donation from phs to Fashion-Enter will allow them to continue their industry leading textile work.
Apprenticeships play an important role in the running of phs, making the business a proud advocate of work-based apprentice programmes. There are currently over 150 phs employees undertaking apprenticeships, ranging from Project Management to Textile Care Operations.
Apprentices are offered to existing phs employees to help them grow professionally and personally. phs also take on new recruits as apprentices, giving them the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification and work experience at the same time.
