DFN Project SEARCH
phs launched our partnership with DFN Project SEARCH in 2021, working as a host business to provide a one-year internship programme for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions.
The DFN Project Search programme supports interns with the transition from education to work. As well as providing work placements, phs have already offered several permanent job roles through this scheme, which has grown year on year.
Megan’s Internship Journey
During Megan’s internship at phs via the DFN Project SEARCH scheme with Bridgend College, she ran a series of events, including a food bank drive, and gained valuable experience with the phs marketing and credit control department which led her to obtaining a full-time position with Credit Safe.
“The internship was a great way to improve my confidence and understand how a business works and meet new people. College is great, but college can’t offer such a wide variety of new skills to learn. And it’s also been fun!”
